About Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine. In Sanskrit, the word ayurveda consists of the word ayus, mean “life” and veda meaning, “related to knowledge” or “science”. Ayurveda is an upaveda or annexure to the four main Vedas in India. The famous treaties of ayurveda are Charaka samhitha by sage Charaka & Sushruta samhita by sage Sushruta, which details the prevention, treatment of disease, surgical procedures, herbs & its preparations. In the ayurvedic system, the prevention of all types of disease has prominent place in treatment, including restructuring a patient’s lifestyle to align with the course of nature & the four seasons to guarantee complete wellness. Ayurveda focuses on body, mind & spirit/consciousness need to be addressed both individually & in union for health to ensure.
